WinGD is looking for a

Customer Support Engineer, Operations Korea

 

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out trouble shooting, routine maintenance for the products delivered from WinGD. Perform on-board commissioning, sea trial & maiden voyage support for 2-stroke engine. Execute warranty work, modification tasks and design upgrades.
  • Implement service orders from service partners and directly from customers, support the smooth new building engine process until delivery and operation under good cooperation with stakeholders.
  • Support ship owners with technical solutions.
  • Generate service report, trial reports and memos for all attended events and activities.
  • Progress update, perform final test, handing over, collect timesheet and expenses, prepare Service Work Report
  • Responsible for the team under his/her responsibilities during the work execution.
  • Perform daily office activities as required.
  • Responsible for HSE during the work execution.
  • Provide internal and external reports and as built documentation.
  • Collect and organize time and expense reports after completion of the respective works, report and inform the administrative personnel as required.
  • Provide maintenance / commissioning / troubleshooting support activities as directed.
  • Attending training course as trainer to train customers when requested.
  • Convincing and initiative attitude to explain technical issues in an educative and coaching way.
  • Maintain a good relationship with customers without compromising WinGD code of conduct policy and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Higher education degree (BsC Mech, and/or Elect. Engineering) with sound experience as a Service Engineer or Commissioning Engineer.
  • Experience for 2-stroke engine service & operation including automation system & electronics. Preferably experience on vessels in service, main engine operation and maintenance & auxiliary equipment.
  • 2-Stroke Diesel Engine Knowledge: feeling for performance, thermodynamics, vibrations, vibrations, materials and structures.
  • PC user software handling and PC setup skills are necessary next to the RCS and electronics.
  • Able to work self-driven and self-critical with the target of continuous improvement.
  • Has a clear understanding of the key success factors in our business and job responsibility.
