Technical Expert, Integrated Energy Solutions

Join WinGD as skilled expert to lead the commissioning and integration of advanced hybrid marine energy systems. This dynamic role blends hands-on engineering, global collaboration, and customer engagement to drive innovation in sustainable maritime solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise installation and integration of shaft generators, battery-hybrid systems, and other future technologies.
• Conduct and manage commissioning, ensuring systems meet technical specifications and operational standards.
• Provide maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting support for integrated energy systems.
• Lead sea trials, analyzing performance data, diagnosing potential issues, and making necessary adjustments for optimal system performance.
• Implement service orders from customers in close coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams to resolve technical challenges efficiently.
• Generate service reports, trial reports, and documentation for all attended events and activities.
• Provide technical guidance and hands-on training to ship crews, and clients on system operation, maintenance, and optimization.
• Explain complex technical issues, ensuring effective customer engagement.
• Ensure compliance with marine industry standards and regulations throughout project execution.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in maritime power and hybrid systems.
• Maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring service excellence while adhering to WinGD's code of conduct and quality standards.

Requirements:

General Skills and Competencies:

• Good technical expertise in electrical engineering, power electronics, and automation control.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a structured approach to troubleshooting.
• Self-driven and proactive mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently while being an effective team player in a multicultural environment.
• Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Customer-oriented approach, ensuring high service standards and satisfaction.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Professional Skills:

• Experience in marine systems engineering, including hands-on work with variable frequency drives and power management systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, power electronics, and electrical machines.
• Familiarity with variable frequency drives (VFDs) from multiple manufacturers, particularly those exceeding 1MW.
• Willingness to travel globally and work in multicultural environments.
• Experience in integrating hybrid energy solutions into marine applications is an advantage.

Management & Leadership Competencies:

• Ability to train and mentor technical teams, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development.
• Experience in collaborating with engineering, R&D, and commercial teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

Languages:

• Fluent in Korean and good in English (written and spoken).

Education:

• Higher education degree (Bachelor’s or MSc) in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electrical Machines, Electrical Automation Control, or a related field.
