WinGD is looking for a

Project Manager, Local Product Center Korea

 

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and execute the project plan, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Organize project kick-off meetings and monitor progress.

Resource Coordination:

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to allocate resources, assign tasks, and ensure clear communication.
  • Allocate project tasks to the engineering department and conduct project gate meetings.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications.
  • Act as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Project Deliverables:

  • Follow-up on project deliverables to engine makers, shipyards, and ship owners.
  • Maintain good cooperation with the engine maker of the first prototype, including support for engine testing.

Engine Configuration and Design:

  • Manage engine configuration projects, design upgrades, and retrofit projects.
  • Follow prototype and parent engines through design and production stages.
  • Introduce important engine design modifications during production stages.

Technical Support:

  • Support licensees with technical questions, manage the helpdesk, and prioritize requests.
  • Manage the registration of licensees.

Performance Feedback:

  • Provide performance feedback to Line Management regarding allocated resources.

Post-Project Review:

  • Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions.

Methodology and Compliance:

  • Run projects according to WinGD Project Management methodology, following PMI standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality policies and share lessons learned.

Financial Management:

  • Manage project budgets, expenses, and resource allocations, tracking costs and variances.

Risk and Issue Management:

  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage risks and issues.

General Responsibilities:

  • Follow safe work procedures, report unsafe conditions or incidents.
  • If needed give cross-departmental technical support.
  • Keep high level of knowledge (technical and commercial) by establishing training program.

 

Education / Skills & Competences: 

  • MSc or BSc mechanical engineering, marine engineering, naval architect
  • Very good knowledge of Korea marine industry
  • Having experience in this industry
  • Understanding of shipbuilding market
  • High technical product knowhow on engine and ship interface
  • Analytic and structured way of working
  • Experienced used of office products
  • Good presentation skills
  • Develop the negotiation and communication skill.
  • Willingness to travel
