WinGD is looking for a

 

Supplier Quality Expert

 

Responsibilities:

  • Quality inspection: Responsible for inspection of spare parts ordered for WinGD service business, occasionally also components for R&D testing orders to secure quality conformity.
  • Perform audits to ensure suppliers QMS and to support suppliers QM improvement
  • Support supplier for own quality management system development if needed / requested.
  • Provide feedback on existing Q-documentation and/or support to establish Q-documentation.
  • Support continuous further development/ improvement of WinGD’s Q-management system.
  • Support supplier search and development for spare parts for service business.
  • Ensure that suppliers understand and comply with WinGD’s requirements, drawings and specifications.
  • Assist suppliers in developing and maintaining robust quality control processes including continuous improvement.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and clarification to suppliers as needed.
  • Ensure suppliers adhere to industry regulations and company standards.
  • Regular reporting (progress, achievements and KPI’s)
  • Maintain a good relationship with suppliers.
  • Work in close co-operation with all other team colleagues worldwide and share information

Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in mechanical engineering,  material science, materials processing, metallurgy or related
  • Min. 7 years work experience in manufacturing related, QM or supplier development environment preferably in marine or heavy machinery industry. Two-stroke experience preferred.
  • Experience in quality control and assurance preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in conducting supplier audits. Familiar with Engineering Codes and technical Specifications (e.g. Technical Rules of Shipping Classification Societies, EN- and ISO Standards)
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Communication skills in English in a global environment (fluent oral and in writing)
  • Basic project management skills
  • Enjoys working in multicultural environment
  • Team player yet to be able to work independently
  • Is used to work structured way and proactively makes things happen.
