WinGD is looking for a

 

(Location: China) Project Manager Retrofit China 

 

Responsibilities

 

Project Management:

•    Develop and execute the project plan, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines, in alignment with organizational goals and constraints.
•    Coordinate with cross-functional teams to allocate resources, assign tasks, and ensure clear communication and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
•    Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage risks and issues, proactively identifying and addressing any deviations from the plan to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
•    Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications to ensure alignment, address concerns, and solicit feedback to drive project success.
•    Manage project budgets, expenses, and resource allocations, tracking costs and variances to ensure adherence to financial constraints and optimize resource utilization.
•    Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to evaluate project performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices for future projects.

 

Product Management:

•    Develop retrofit concepts, solutions and detailed engineering solutions for retrofit/upgrade projects for engines in service (e.g. VCR retrofit, Methanol/Ammonia retrofits in service)
•    Conduct thorough market analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and potential opportunities for retrofit business
•    Develop and maintain strong relationships with technical staff of key stakeholders, including ship owners, 3rd party suppliers, repair yards.
•    Provide technical expertise and support to the retrofit sales and marketing teams, including creating technical documentation, delivering product presentations, and addressing customer inquiries.
•    Collaborate with the marketing department to develop value propositions, case studies, promotional materials, and campaigns to support retrofit sales and brand awareness.
•    Support Key Account Managers in the sales department by providing technical assistance, resolving customer issues, and facilitating the retrofit sales process 
 

Requirements:

• Business-oriented thinking (Consider financial and time related issues) 
• Experience from international company in manufacturing and/or maritime business (Understanding engine manufacturing)
• Ability to adapt to changing situations (Flexible working on different projects)
• Ability to establish relations with key customers (Together with technical sales and KAM)

• Readiness to travel (Approx 10 – 15% on year basis, to be defined locally)

• Chinese / English

BSc/MSc degree in mechanical engineering or Marine engineering with sound experience in engine building, service and/or design
