(Location: Singapore) Agreement Manager 

 

Responsibilities

Contract Management & Development
  • Draft, review, and negotiate comprehensive marine engine service agreements, including maintenance contracts, service level agreements, and warranty management
  • Develop standardized contract templates for various service offerings (routine maintenance, emergency repairs, overhauls, technical support)
  • Ensure all agreements comply with maritime regulations, classification society requirements, and company policies
  • Manage the entire contract lifecycle from initial proposal through execution, amendment, and renewal
Commercial & Risk Management
  • Conduct commercial risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for service agreements
  • Collaborate with finance team to ensure pricing models are profitable and sustainable
  • Monitor contract performance against KPIs, budget targets, and service level commitments
  • Identify opportunities for contract optimization and revenue enhancement
Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients regarding service agreements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with ship owners, operators, and technical managers
  • Coordinate with internal teams (technical, operations, finance, legal) to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Lead contract review meetings and performance evaluations with key clients
Technical Coordination
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure contract scope aligns with service capabilities
  • Review technical specifications and service requirements for accuracy and feasibility
  • Coordinate with engineering teams on warranty claims and technical disputes
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
Compliance & Documentation
  • Maintain comprehensive contract documentation and ensure proper filing systems
  • Monitor regulatory changes affecting marine engine services and update contracts accordingly
  • Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, etc.)
  • Coordinate with legal counsel on complex contractual matters and disputes

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related technical field
  • Additional qualifications in Contract Management, Business Administration, or Law preferred
Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marine engine services or related maritime industry
  • Proven track record in contract management, preferably in marine services or heavy engineering
  • Experience with international maritime regulations and classification society requirements
  • Background in service operations, technical support, or marine engineering

Technical Competencies

Marine Engineering Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of marine propulsion systems (diesel engines, dual-fuel systems, electric propulsion)
  • Familiarity with major engine manufacturers 
  • Knowledge of marine classification society rules and regulations
  • Understanding of marine maintenance procedures and service intervals
Contract Management Skills:
  • Expertise in contract law and commercial terms
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Risk assessment and mitigation capabilities
  • Financial analysis and pricing strategy development
Industry-Specific Knowledge:
  • Maritime industry practices and regulations
  • Port state control requirements
  • Environmental regulations (MARPOL, IMO standards)
  • Safety management systems (ISM Code)
