WinGD is looking for a

Delivery Program Manager - Integrated Energy Solutions (m/f/d) 100%

Location:  Winterthur
Job Startdate:  as per agreement
Workload:  100%

Responsibilities

We're looking for a Delivery Program Manager to be the planning and coordination hub of that delivery organisation. At the shipyards, our project managers are absorbed in the daily detail and the schedule never stops moving - they have little time to plan ahead. That's where you come in: from Switzerland, you'll hold the portfolio together, keep drawings and documentation moving, coordinate vendors, and consolidate everyone's inputs into one clear, shared view - so projects run smoothly on site. You'll also run European owner projects directly.

  • Own the consolidated view of our delivery portfolio - status, schedule, forecast, resourcing and risk - as the single source of truth the whole business plans from.
  • Collect and consolidate inputs from our regional project managers into one project-management tool, so portfolio status and schedules are visible to everyone.
  • Keep plans and schedules current as the delivery timeline shifts - re-planning and re-sequencing proactively and flagging slippage early.
  • Align creation, review and delivery of project drawings and technical documentation with our engineering teams and external design partners, tracked against milestones and gates.
  • Coordinate vendors and contractors in Europe (shaft generators, drives and electrical equipment) on scope, deliverables and lead times.
  • Provide back-office planning and coordination from Switzerland to our regional teams in China, Korea and Japan, so they can stay focused on the shipyard relationship.
  • Run European ship-owner and retrofit projects directly, and act as project manager as needed.

Requirements

  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of how shipyard projects run - new builds, dry-dock, repair or retrofit scheduling, work-package planning and delivery, on-site execution, and working with class societies and owners. This is the heart of the role.
  • The ability to plan and keep schedules and documentation on track when everything keeps changing.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, contractors and technical documentation / drawing packages across a project or portfolio.
  • A track record in technical project or portfolio management in marine, shipbuilding or comparable capital-equipment industries - including budgeting, supplier coordination and schedule control.
  • Experience as a technical superintendent, ship-repair manager or similar, with accountability for multiple vessels or work packages, is highly relevant.
  • A working understanding of marine energy or electrical systems - enough to run a gate, recognise technical risk and escalate. You don't need to be an electrical design engineer; our engineering teams own that depth. You coordinate it.
  • Fluent English, spoken and written - this is essential.
  • Comfort working across Switzerland and Asian time zones and cultures, and representing WinGD credibly to shipyards and owners.
  • A university degree in a technical or marine discipline, or equivalent experience with a strong delivery track record.
  • Prior commercial or customer-facing experience is a plus.

Our Offer

  • An opportunity to shape the sustainability and environmental impact of the shipping industry. WinGD is on the leading edge of the technology which is shaping the future of the shipping industry
  • A dynamic working environment, blending a long history of technology expertise with industry leading innovation across a global network
  • Award winning and extraordinary products
