WinGD is looking for a

Digital Solution Technical Support Engineer 

 

Responsabilities: 

  • Technical Support: Assist on-site engineers and customers in resolving technical issues with WinGD WiDE systems deployed on ships, focusing on hardware, network connectivity, and platform functionality.
  • Remote Diagnostics: Use WiDE’s remote diagnostic capabilities to monitor and analyze engine and system data, providing guidance to engineers for quick issue resolution.
  • Issue Escalation: Work with internal product development teams and escalate to resolve complex technical issues for advanced troubleshooting and solutions.
  • Manage Rollout: Coordinate and assist the deployment of product for new installations or updates, including coordinating and supporting the onsite engineer tasks. Ensuring smooth deployment pipelines.
  • Proactive Monitoring: Continuously monitor the health of the WiDE system and notify site engineers of potential issues before they impact operations.
  • Compliance & Safety Support: Ensure that the WiDE systems comply with maritime regulatory standards and safety protocols, providing necessary documentation and guidance.

 

Requirements: 

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in technical support roles, preferably in industry remote monitoring, control systems or maritime solutions.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Knowledge of remote monitoring and diagnostics systems, including real-time monitoring, data acquisition, transmission, and cloud integration.
    • Experience troubleshooting networks (TCP/IP, WebSockets) and communication protocols (MQTT, HTTP, etc.).
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving both hardware and software in remote monitoring and control environments.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to collaborate with on-site engineers and explain complex technical issues clearly.
  • Tools & Platforms: Experience with remote monitoring and control tools, ticketing systems (e.g., Jira), and basic knowledge of maritime regulations.
