WinGD is looking for a

Electrical System Engineer 

 

Responsabilities

  • Be responsible for all communication interfaces between the Engine Control System (ECS) and external systems such as Remote-Control System (RCS), Alarm and Monitoring System (AMS) and Human Machine Interface (HMI)
  • Define communication interfaces for field bus applications (Ethernet, CAN, RS485) 
  • Write functional specifications for monitoring of safety relevant engine functions and operating mode dependent control features (for RCS) 
  • Specify graphical user interface and related signals of the HMI used to operate the engine
  • Develop concepts how external systems on a vessel are integrated with the engine control system
  • Support hardware development of WinGD's PLCs used in the ECS with primary focus on communication channel
  • Support operation experts in troubleshooting field issues related to communication interfaces
  • Integration of commercial off the shelf components into ECS

 

Requirements

 

  • MSc in electrical or electronic engineering.
  • In alternative, BSc with significant experience (>5 years).
  • Knowledge of Office 365 and Visio
  • Systematic, analytic and self-organized mindset
  • Open and communicative personality, willing to collaborate in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Proven knowledge in industrial field bus systems (Ethernet, CAN and RS-485)
  • Proven experience in industrial automation using commercial off the shelf components in combination with proprietary PLCs
  • Experienced with embedded control systems
  • Familiar with writing Functional specifications for control systems
  • Good knowledge in development methodologies
  • Basic knowledge in project management
  • Very fluent in English (Good German is of advantage)
