Responsibilities

 

Be the engineering link that powers innovation. Working across disciplines and stakeholders, you'll guide technical coordination, manage critical interfaces, and support the successful delivery of advanced innovation projects. This is an opportunity to make a visible impact on high-profile energy infrastructure projects worldwide.

 

  • Coordinate engineering work across internal functions, including R&D, installation, cybersecurity, service, supply chain and project management.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, specifications, interface definitions, system descriptions and customer deliverables.
  • Support technical clarification meetings, FEED activities, proposal preparation and customer workshops. 
  • Define and manage engineering deliverables, technical schedules, dependencies and resource requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support scope definition and interface management between engine, auxiliary systems, contractors and third-party suppliers. 
  • Contribute to technical risk assessments and define mitigation actions for identified engineering, performance, integration and compliance risks. 
  • Support the development of innovation-specific data sets, technical standards, engineering guidelines and lessons learned for future projects. 
  • Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and performance validation activities.

Requirements

 

  • Degree in mechanical engineering (PhD, MSc or similar) with a strong track record.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the marine engine or similar businesses.
  • Senior engineering background in large engines, system integration or marine power systems.
  • Strong understanding of interfaces between engine, generator, auxiliary systems, controls and grid connection.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional technical workstreams.
  • Strong communication and cooperation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and cross-functional thinking.
  • Strong command in English, both verbal and written / German is of advantage.
