Senior Accountant (m/f/d) 

 

Location: Winterthur

Workload: 100%

Start Date: As per agreement

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of defined areas of the monthly and annual closing under Swiss Local GAAP (OR)
  • Prepare and reconcile accruals, provisions, intercompany transactions and GL accounts
  • Ensure high data quality and compliance with internal policies and control frameworks
  • Act as a key contact for internal and external audits
  • Support and coach team members in accounting topics and promote a culture of quality, structure, and continuous learning within the team
  • Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, contribute to process improvements with other departments (SCM, Sales, etc.)
  • Analyze and improve end-to-end finance processes (P2P, O2C, R2R)
  • Contribute to ERP enhancements and digitalization initiatives
  • You critically challenge existing accounting processes and tools, contribute ideas for optimization, and drive their implementation

 

Your Profile

  • Advanced professional qualification in Finance & Accounting (minimum Eidg. Fachausweis im Finanz- und Rechnungswesen or equivalent)
  • 6-8 years of experience in Accounting, ideally in an international or industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss Local GAAP (OR), direct & indirect tax-related topics
  • Advanced user of SAP ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical skills, structured working style, and high reliability
  • Enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues
  • Proactive, solution‑oriented, and comfortable working independently
  • Clear communicator with a collaborative attitude
  • Fluent in German and English
